Charissa Thompson Bio

Charissa Thompson is a Sports & Entertainment host and reporter based in Los Angeles.

Charissa Thompson knew she wanted to be an on-air personality at the age of 12 and while some might have thought it was a pipe dream, the confident kid who grew up in Seattle, is now living the dream.

From the grandest stages in sports to the red carpet of Hollywood, Thompson’s versatility was evident from her first day on the air. She’s covered everything from Super Bowls to World Premieres and her easy-going style and fun approach have put athletes and entertainers alike at ease. But what’s earned the respect of not only the people she interviews – but also her bosses – is the preparation and thought she puts into every assignment.

In her 4 years at Fox Sports, Thompson has done everything from work the sidelines for Fox NFL Sunday and BCS Bowl Games to co-hosting and being a correspondent for the Best Damn Sports Show Period, where she has covered major sporting events, including two MLB All Star Game Red Carpet Shows.

She’s hosted numerous shows such as The FSN Baseball Report, WNBA Weekly and Fox Sports Net’s original rodeo competition, TOUGHEST COWBOY, while also serving as a reporter for FSN’s BCS BREAKDOWN, the BCS Ratings Show.

She also works for the BIG TEN NETWORK as a sideline reporter for the Saturday game of the week during football and basketball seasons as well as PAC 10 basketball games for FSN.

Thompson made her first on-air appearance for Fox’s regional affiliate FSN Rocky Mountain, where she was co-host of the Rockies’ magazine show, ROCKIES ALL ACCESS, which led to her doing reporting work on Rockies games, doing live updates and interviews throughout the game as well as Colorado and the University of Denver basketball games.

In the world of entertainment, Charissa has worked the red carpet for such films as Juno, Lions for Lambs and Love in the Time of Cholera as well as working JazzFest 2008.

Thompson is a graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara, where she interned at NBC and KEYT, the ABC affiliate in Santa Barbara. Thompson lives in Hermosa Beach, CA.
